Thank you for this community

As November settles in, with darker evenings, chilly mornings, and Thanksgiving around the corner, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be part of a strong, supportive community. And I just want to say this: I’m grateful.
I’m grateful to call North Andover home.
I’m particularly thankful for the people who make this town work, day in and day out. Our police and fire departments who make all kinds of sacrifices for our collective safety. Our DPW crews, out in the early morning clearing roads after a storm. The teachers and staff in our schools, and the parents coaching soccer on cold fall fields. I'm thankful for the generosity of our residents, who always pull together in times of need to keep our community strong.
I’m grateful for the conversations — even the tough ones — that help move us forward. Whether it’s a question raised at a Select Board meeting, a neighbor who emails about speeding, or someone who pulls me aside at the Farmer's Market to share an idea... these are the moments that remind me why local government matters.
No community is perfect. But I believe in this one, not because of our buildings or budgets, but because of the people who care enough to show up, speak up, and roll up their sleeves to do the work.
So thank you. For making North Andover stronger, kinder, and more connected — one day, one conversation, and one act of service at a time.
Wishing you and your family a peaceful, healthy, and gratitude-filled season.
Brian
